How many practice questions should you do before the bar exam?
Seen people say 500 and seen people say 2000 and those cannot both be right.
Is there a number that actually means something, or is it one of those things where the number is not the point?

The number is not the point but people hate that answer so here is a number. I did somewhere around 800 and felt fine.

What matters more is what you do after each block. A hundred questions properly reviewed will teach you more than four hundred rattled through.
Properly reviewed means going back to the page for every single one you got wrong, and for every one you got right by guessing. That second category is the one everyone skips and it is where most of the gaps are hiding.
The guessed-right category is a good shout. I have definitely been marking those as wins and moving on.
I kept a tally of which subject each wrong answer came from and after about 200 questions the pattern was extremely obvious. Two subjects were carrying almost all of it.
That tally was worth more than the next 400 questions were.

Spreadsheet. Subject, right or wrong, and whether I actually knew it or guessed. Three columns, took ten seconds a question.
