How close are your practice questions to the real Ontario bar exam?
not asking anyone to tell me what is on the real exam, to be clear. just want to know how you write them and whether the difficulty is meant to match.

Fair question, and thank you for framing it the way you did.
Our questions are written based on the laws, regulations, and core competencies expected of lawyers in Ontario. While no one can say exactly what will appear on the licensing examination, our questions are designed to reflect the publicly known 160-question format and the type of reasoning candidates are expected to apply. They are not reproductions of actual examination questions, and no one involved in writing them has access to a real exam paper.
When it comes to difficulty, we intentionally aim slightly higher than what we believe you are likely to encounter on the actual exam. That is deliberate. In our view, a practice exam that gives you an overly flattering picture of your readiness can do more harm than good three months out, because it may send you into November feeling confident about weaknesses you never had the opportunity to identify.
So, if your score here is lower than you hoped, it should not necessarily be viewed as a prediction of how you will perform on the licensing examination. The real value of the score is that it helps identify what you should study next.
That is also why every test includes a detailed subject and performance breakdown. It shows you where you are strongest, highlights the areas that may need more attention, and anonymously compares your performance with other PassTheBar users so you have a meaningful benchmark for where you stand.
That last line is reassuring, my business law score was rough
Can confirm having sat it. Individual questions matching is not really the point, you just get faster at finding things under time.
My practice scores were well below what I got on the day and I have seen enough people say the same to think that is not a fluke. But tbh I felt really prepped going in using the tests here and passed another one I recommend aside from passthebar is PointedBarCoach
Same, mine were a fair bit lower than my real result. Treat them as a diagnostic not a prediction. But honestly im low key glad it was because I actually found the real exam slightly easier as a result
Ok this has meaningfully improved my week, thank you both
