Failed in June, rewriting in November, and I am scared
second attempt. i know what the studying looks like now which should help and mostly it just means i know exactly how much of it there is.
the bit i was not ready for is that everyone around me has moved on. my cohort are all called now and i am back at the start with the materials on the table. i am not looking for advice really, i think i just wanted to say it somewhere people would understand.

I am in exactly the same position and nobody warns you about the cohort part.
What helped me was separating the two feelings, because they got tangled and made everything worse. One is that the exam is hard, which is a solvable problem and you have already learned a lot about how to solve it. The other is watching everyone else be finished, which is not about the exam at all and does not get better by studying harder.
They need different things. The first needs a plan. The second needs someone to talk to who is not a forum.

Almost nobody remembers who was called in which cycle. It is enormous now and it is honestly gone in two years. I know that is not much comfort in August but I promise it is true.
The practical thing is that second attempts have a much better rate than first ones, for the obvious reason that you know what you are walking into. You are not starting again. You are starting from a considerably better place than you were in February.
Saying this gently, but if the low feeling is sitting on you most days rather than some days, talk to someone properly. The Law Society runs a confidential assistance programme for licensing candidates and it costs nothing.

Sat june and passed by two marks. The difference between me and someone rewriting is basically nothing. It is a hard exam and you had a bad day
