How do the flashcards work alongside the practice exams?
Have the practice exams. Not clear on where the flashcards fit, or whether they are a separate thing I need to work into the schedule.

They are separate tools for separate jobs.
The practice exams are for testing yourself under time and finding out where the gaps are. The flashcards are for the things you keep forgetting, so definitions, thresholds, deadlines and numbers. They are not a replacement for working through questions.
The way most people use them is to do the exam first, see what came back wrong, then build card time around those topics rather than trying to cover everything.
Method that works for me is cards in the dead time and questions in the real time. Cards on transit, in a queue, ten minutes before bed. Questions only when I have a proper block.
Doing cards during a study block always felt like I was avoiding the harder thing.
That is a useful split. My commute is 35 minutes each way and currently doing nothing.
i went the other way and found cards did not suit me at all. i remember things by finding them rather than by recalling them, and this is a finding exam. ymmv but do not force it if it is not landing
Agree, with the caveat that numbers are the exception. Everything else you can look up, but flipping to check a deadline forty times costs you real minutes. Those are worth memorising even if cards are not otherwise your thing.
